Powerscourt Golf Club

Powerscourt Golf Club (Enniskerry Co. Wicklow) – within the grounds of this estate, which includes the tourist attraction “Powerscourt House”, are two championship golf courses and state-of-the-art golf club facilities (located just 18 km. from downtown Dublin). The golf courses were built during the early 1990s. Former Walker Cup Captain Peter McEvoy was commissioned to design the East course which opened in 1996. Following on from the success of the East course the West course opened in 2003; designed by David McLay Kidd. Both courses are currently rated among Ireland’s top 20 parkland courses and are a must for the discerning golfer’s calendar. The East Course has hosted the 1998 Irish PGA and the 2001 Irish Seniors Open. See the Powerscourt website for more info on visiting the golf club: www.powerscourt.ie
