Science Gallery

Science Gallery (The Naughton Institute, Trinity College, Pearse St, Dublin 2) – this gallery is a world first. A new type of venue where today’s white-hot scientific issues are thrashed out and visitors can have their say. A place where ideas meet and opinions collide. Since opening in 2008, over one million individuals have visited the Science Gallery in Dublin – ranking it amongst the top ten free cultural attractions in Ireland. Its mission is to open up science to passionate debate and generate public opinion.

Unlike most galleries, the Science Gallery doesn’t have a permanent collection. This means that there is always something new to see, but it also means that between exhibitions (which can be a gap of up to three weeks), only its shop and café remain open. So if you are planning to visit an exhibition, to avoid disappointment, make sure to check its website for exhibition dates before travelling to Science Gallery (https://dublin.sciencegallery.com). Admission: free. Hours: 12 Noon – 8 pm daily.
